THE MATERIA Release “Hurt” Video
A New Chapter Begins
Polish djent/progressive metal band THE MATERIA have released the official music video for their new single ‘Hurt’. The track is the latest single from the band’s new release, “We Against Us - Prologue”, which is being made available physically today as part of MateriaFest.
The visual work for “Hurt” was created by Art Paradox. The new track follows the previously released singles ‘1984’ and ‘Declaration Of Hate’ as part of the promotional campaign for “We Against Us - Prologue”.
Hailing from Szczecinek, THE MATERIA have been developing their sound since 2007, combining elements of modern metal, metalcore, djent and alternative metal with progressive structures, groove, electronic textures and melodic approaches. The band’s latest release continues along the same path. Following four previous full-length albums, the four-piece recorded its new material independently.
The mixing and mastering of “We Against Us - Prologue” was handled by Konrad Janiszewski, who is known for his work with bands including HERESY DENIED and SOUR BLOOD.
The physical edition of the new album is being made available exclusively on August 28, 2026, as part of the 14th edition of MateriaFest, held in the band’s hometown of Szczecinek. The digital release is scheduled for September 17, 2026.
Following the album’s digital release, THE MATERIA will also take the new material on the road. The band will join DEMETED for the “Piekło i nie bo Tour”, which kicks off in Kraków on October 16 and will visit 15 cities across Poland.
The tour will conclude with a show at Chicago in Kielce on November 28. While the physical edition of “We Against Us - Prologue” meets listeners today at MateriaFest, the digital version will arrive on September 17.
