Thy Killing Hand Unleashes Darkness with Debut Album
First Album Infernal Commands
The enigmatic Polish black metal outfit Thy Killing Hand has unveiled its long-awaited debut studio album, Infernal Commands. Following a series of shorter releases, the duo now asserts its presence on the underground scene more forcefully with its first full-length record.
Released on June 12 via EAL Productions, Infernal Commands pushes the dark atmosphere forged throughout the band's earlier works into a denser and more crushing form. Continuing to conceal their identities, the musicians construct a wall of darkness by merging traditional black metal sensibilities with lumbering tempos, razor-sharp guitar tones, and oppressive rhythms.
Among the album’s most striking elements are its bleak keyboard textures, choral arrangements that evoke a sense of depth, and a prominent bass presence. By steering clear of polished and elaborate production values, Thy Killing Hand opts for a raw and filthy character, an approach that further reinforces the album’s atmosphere.

Drawing inspiration from the spirit of old-school extreme metal, Infernal Commands occasionally bears traces that recall some of black metal’s cult names, yet the band’s determination to forge its own identity remains evident. Rather than offering an easily digestible listening experience, the album stands out as a work aimed at creating a disturbing and profoundly dark atmosphere.
The nine-track record features songs such as “On a Silver Globe,” “The Great Beyond,” “Enter, Asmodeus,” and the closing track “Enemy.” Infernal Commands appears poised to become one of the year’s most noteworthy debut albums for listeners who remain devoted to a traditional and uncompromisingly dark black metal aesthetic.
